We run Health Spending Accounts (HSAs) for incorporated Canadian businesses. An HSA lets a business pay for its team’s dental, prescriptions, vision, paramedical and other eligible health costs as a tax-deductible expense, under the CRA’s rules for Private Health Services Plans.
Traditional group plans charge premiums every month whether anyone uses them or not. We think benefits should cost nothing until someone actually needs care, and should be simple enough for an owner to set up in an afternoon.
No premiums, no setup or annual fees and no contract. You fund approved claims, plus $1.95 + 4.95% per approved claim and any provincial taxes. If no one claims in a month, there are no fees.
Plan data and receipts are stored in a Canadian data centre, encrypted in transit and at rest, with bank account numbers encrypted separately. Employers see amounts and categories, never receipts or medical details. Every change is recorded in an audit log.
